Welcome
Welcome to the 4th International LAMS & Learning Design Conference webpage. The conference was held at Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia on the 4th December, 2009. The conference was immediately preceded by LAMS training workshops on the 3rd December.
The 4th International Conference was held in Sydney after the success of the three previous International LAMS Conferences in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and three European Conferences (2007 - Greenwich, 2009 – Cadiz and 2009 - UK). The focus of the conference was on Open Education. We looked at technologies, applications and approaches that support sharing, collaboration and open access to knowledge and resources and the differing implications for individuals and organisations. Importantly, we were to capture the experience of those who have used LAMS & Learning Design and shared some of the lessons learnt about Open Education in higher education, the K-12 sector, vocational and professional education.
